The National Police of Ecuador through the district Eugenio Espejo made the civic minute with the aim of seeking mechanisms of self-protection in the population framed in the campaign “Prevent is to protect you”, an event that was attended by students from the emblematic Educational Units of Quito, which are located in the circuit sector Iñaquito.
In the same sense, there was the participation of outstanding football figures, which enhanced the civic act; it was Christian Lara and Luis Segovia from Club Deportivo El Nacional who arrived with messages to the students present, focusing on the prevention of the use of social networks and controlled substances.
The event was chaired by the Commander of Zone 9 DMQ GRAD. Paulo Vinicio Terán, who stressed that the joint work between the police and society especially young people will allow a change of perceptions and will create a culture of security to avoid criminal acts.
In that same order the Lord Commander of the District Eugenio Espejo Crnl. Cristian Rueda explained that the purpose of the campaign “Prevent is to protect you”, inviting those present to be participants and seek to make the community aware of finding tools and actions to protect themselves from criminal situations to which we are exposed by overconfidence, neglect or disorganization of the neighborhoods.
The police institution invites you to continue fostering in our homes and social environment ethical and moral values that allow us to take care of acts that make us vulnerable to any crime. In the same way guarantee the interaction, contribution and collaboration of the citizenship in accordance with the provisions of the Law.
