Police retain wood in a control operative carried out by the UPMA
About 7.65 cubic meters of forest product was retained in the parish Eugenio Espejo of the canton Otavalo. The wood was inside a building located in the Chuchuquí community.
Police Unit of Environment(UPMA) carried out forest product control in several sectors of Otavalo. They arrived at the lumber and lumber sites to verify that the owners have the documents issued by the Ministry of the Environment.
During the operation, the police officers found the home of the citizen Julio P. where he had 7.65 m3 of forest product of the eucalyptus species, which did not justify documents with the origin of the wood, which was retained by the ministerial official .
