In San Geronimo control, police officers from the Environment Unit, together with an official from the Ministry of the Environment (MAE), retained a vehicle carrying wood that was not registered in the mobilization guide.
During the police operation, the uniformed people carried out the control to vehicles that transported forest product by the sector. In this sense, they halted the march of the truck-type vehicle whose driver carried 16.62 m3 of planks, slats, beams and tables of the species Copal with a guide of mobilization with altered data.
With the verification of the data of the guide, the truck was transferred to the Ibarra vehicle retention yards for violating Ministerial Agreement 139 of the Forestry Law in Article 56, paragraphs b) and d) that in its pertinent part says: “Forest products and their means of transportation shall be retained when: b) They exceed what is authorized therein, in accordance with the standard of measurement; d) Have guides whose information is not correct (P.
