General Commander and Interior Minister seek to improve the police health system
This morning, General Inspector Ramiro Mantilla, General commander of the National Police and Interior Minister, Magister César Navas visited the Quito Police Hospital No. 1, in order to make a diagnosis of the facilities and improve the service of health of police officers.
In the auditorium of this health home, a greeting was given by the authorities to the officials who work in the administrative and medical area of the hospital, where the needs were exposed to improve the care, equipment, maintenance and acquisition of new supplies for provide a comprehensive health service with warmth and solidarity.
In this event, Police colonel Manuel Iñiguez, for his impeccable trajectory, assumed with commitment the National Health Directorate of the National Police, who, in use, said that he accepted the challenge of strengthening the police health system, emphasizing that health is an inalienable right and a fundamental pillar for the effectiveness of an institution.
In his speech, the Commander-General of the National Police indicated that in order to improve the health system, it is important to manage good management. For this reason, he has appointed the most appropriate personnel to be responsible for the health of law-keepers, because the goal is to be a benchmark in the Public Health Network.
For his part, the minister of the interior, Magister César Navas indicated that a proposal is already in proposal to modernize the health system in both the National Police and in the Armed Forces, because by presidential provision it is planned to improve the health service of the two branches.
After the event, the authorities, medical personnel and officials of each area, made a tour of the facilities of the Quito Police Hospital No. 1, taking priority as the X-ray area, operating room, emergency room, laboratory, among others; in order to provide an urgent solution to the needs of each unit.
This visit seeks through a multidisciplinary work that all responsible for police health, contribute in their respective competencies and in this way modernize this direction through a policy of quality, warmth, responsible and transparent spending.
